My husband and I fell in love with and adopted our kitten from the SPCA less than a week ago. At first, while becoming more familiar with us, he was rambunctious, playful, and adventurous. Since yesterday he has been coughing, sneezing, and has become very lethargic. We took him to the emergency vet last night and he was prescribed azithromycin. Of course while he was there he didn't sneeze or cough once, but they said it was probably due to his adrenaline. Also, they mentioned that at this time they didn't hear any respiratory problems. He seemed to be okay when we arrived home, maybe a sneeze or two. Today, he is back to sneezing, coughing, lethargy, and now has a runny nose and I have noticed he has wet eyes. He has been laying down for the majority of the day which is very unlike him. He has a vet appointment on Friday but I am so scared. Does anyone have any advice?
