Cloudy and shut eye, and extremely low white blood cell count
Post Body

My 11 year old F spayed pitbull started having a lot of issues about two months ago. Took her to the vet and they ran a blood test. The vet suggested she may have a form of leukemia after seeing her nearly non existent white blood cells (in particular, her WBC count was 2.25 K/ul, NEU 0.36 K/ul, EOS 0.03 K/ul). He put her on antibiotics and said we'd retest since I didn't want to do a bone marrow biopsy

It's been about two months since then, and she woke up with a completely swollen eye, unwilling/unable to walk. She's been having other intermittent issues the last two months as well (vomiting, lethargy, drastic increase in water intake and peeing, won't eat for days at a time.)

I took her to the same clinic but different vet. The vet tech asked a lot of questions and referenced her previous blood test. I didn't see the new vet actually look at the notes. He said she had a lot of pressure and inflammation on her eye (24 was the number but I don't remember the measurement unit) and prescribed antibiotics and gave her two shots. There was a big language barrier with the new vet so I'm not sure he understood my questions or references to past blood tests from two months ago. I had them do another blood test - results back tomorrow.

Is there any chance the eye issue is related to the low white blood cell counts from a couple months ago? Not looking for treatment just wondering if there's a chance one is causing the other. Thank you in advance.
