No symptoms of pancreatitis but off the charts Lipase and high Amylase (and some concerns in urinalysis).
Post Body

Pet info: 9 year old male, neutered dog (Boxer, Am Bull, Eng Bull, Labrador retriever mix), 90lbs, has had CCL issues (had surgery on 1 leg 2 years ago) but health wise has never had more than an upset stomach and even that was like 4 years ago (dude is strong and healthy as an ox).

My guy just had a senior wellness exam on Saturday. We got his results back yesterday and we, and the vet, are obviously concerned. Here is a link to screenshots of the test results. Below are the abnormal or concerning results:

Chemistry:

Amylase result: 2,143

Lipase result: >1800 (we added a cPL to get more accurate results and are waiting to hear back)

Urinalysis:

Specific gravity: 1.013

pH: 8.0

White blood cells: 6-10

Red blood cells: 10-15

Bacteria: Marked Rods >40HPF

Epithelial cells:3 (6-10)/HPF

Endocrinology:

T4: 1.6 (it seems like this is within normal range but slightly lower than what they want??)

More context: He is showing no signs of anything being wrong at all; normal energy levels, normal appetite and water intake, no vomiting or diarrhea, is very regular with his BM’s and peeing, doesn’t seem to have any abdominal pain. At this appointment he had a lepto booster (we had somehow let his lapse and so he had the first round on 6/11 and the booster on 7/6) he had a fairly severe swelling localized reaction at the injection site but had no reaction to the shot on 6/11 and has never had any reaction to any vaccine before. The swelling has already gone down and didn’t seem to actually bother him much at the time.

I have an abdominal ultrasound scheduled for tomorrow and an abdominal X-ray scheduled on Saturday, and we are waiting for the additional Lipase results.

Additionally: our 9 year old male, neutered cat had to go to the emergency room last Tuesday due to what we thought was a urethral obstruction but turned out to be an inflamed bladder and urethra, no crystals or blockage and seems fine now after the meds.

So what seems to be the obvious diagnosis is pancreatitis, but he’s having 0 symptoms. The vet mentioned a possible UTI, tumors, or cancer. Just looking for things I can ask my vet and the specialists so that we can figure out what it is as fast as possible. Should we be getting him on antibiotics for the bacteria in the urinalysis (I emailed the vet and waiting to hear back on that)?

Any help and guidance you can provide would be greatly appreciated.
