We just moved in with my Grandma (87) and my Aunt (65) to help in their older age and almost immediately my 14 year old chihuahua terrier had fleas and they’re everywhere. A vet friend suggested Bravecto so I’m in the process of obtaining that but in the meantime I’ve tried: - Seresto collar (does nothing) - Topical Frontline - Dawn Bath - Vacuuming daily - Washing bedding daily - Bug killer yard treatment - Indoor flea spray - Flea traps (which collect a ton of fleas)
I also I ordered diatomaceous earth which I will apply to mattresses and carpets.
They’ve started biting me and my children and I’m losing my mind.
The biggest problem I have is my family members are somewhat of hoarders. Their belongings aren’t necessarily excessive but they refuse to get rid of old things and they have a lot of clutter that they refuse to move or get upset when others move. This makes it virtually impossible for me to fully clean the house to get rid of the eggs. We’ve also got very old upholstered chairs and a couch that I’m unsure of how to clean.
Is there anything I can do in this situation other than move out? I’m so desperate to get rid of these.
