Dogs lipase is in the 800’s. Cause for concern?
Post Body
My dog is 13, spayed staffy mix. She has pretty bad arthritis and takes an anti inflammatory and pain meds to manage it. Her yearly labs just came back with lipase in the 800’s and values that have made the vet suspicious of mild kidney disease. Should I be concerned about the significantly elevated lipase? I’ve reached out to the vet but I figure asking here is probably better than panic googling. We are following up on the kidney stuff with more labs to confirm if there’s an issue.
