Any experience with felines having seizures after exposure to newly laid carpet and carpet fumes?
Post Body

Just wondering. My cat age 5 delevoped epilepsy only two days after moving to a new apartment. The carpets were just laid and the windows were closed before I moved in so the gases were still present. I noticed him sniffing the carpet a bunch. Coincidence or likely the carpet? He went on to live another five years on meds, but was never the same.

Feline domestic short hair Male 5 years upon epilepsy diagnosis (likely hippocampal necrosis) Medically managed moderately to an additional 3 or so years until he stopped being able to defecate on his own and had to be let go Clean health prior to epilepsy Indoor cat only
