Hello,
So, I adopted two cats recently from my ex, one of which has diabetes. I've been giving him I believe 5 ml of insulin every morning and evening. Despite the fact that he's been on this regimen for about a month, he hasn't gained any weight, has lost hair, appears to be drinking and eating a lot plus frequent urination and I believe diarrhea. He seems relatively energetic--not as much as his brother, but he still climbs on things.
Is he getting better? Do any of these signs mean I should take him to the vet soon again? My ex updated the vet and the vet said to take him back in 6 months, but I feel like he should be doing somewhat better by now! Thanks.
