My dogs poop has been dark only in the mornings the last few days. It’s dark on the outside and then in the middle it is light when it is broken apart. The only difference in his diet is that I have been adding homemade bone broth to his food and we switched back his old food that he likes (Purina one instincts). I have seen him eating grass on a couple of occasions as well, but not much. I googled and saw something about dark stool and blood being involved. He has no attitude change and his poop is back to the usual color in the evenings.
