Should I be worried about anesthesia for neutering?
Post Body

I have a 6-month old sphynx and have had him for 2 months. He came to me with a mild URI but has since been treated and went to the vet MULTIPLE times (anxious first-time cat mommy here).

At this point, heโ€™s still constantly stuffy in the morning and sneezes and blows some big snot rockets every day, but he very clearly does not have an infection (clear eyes, no lethargy, eating/drinking/pottying normal) and a vet confirmed he has no signs of infection. She said itโ€™s probably bothering me more than him lol While he is under, they also plan to look for polyps as they might be causing some of the congestion.

He is SO stuffy in the morning though and I am terrified what it will be like when they put him under anesthesia. Iโ€™m taking him to a very good hospital (not a cheap clinic) and I know they will do a pre-surgery exam. Am I worrying over nothing?
