Alternative treatment for Seizures?
Post Body

I have a 12 year old female Shih-Tzu who has always been healthy. Two weeks ago she had labored breathing, lack of appetite, and lethargy. Next day it continued and I took her to a 24 hr vet as it was a Sunday. Was put in oxygen chamber, X-ray's, and overnight stay. Treated Lily for bronchitis/pneumonia. 2 weeks later, now and still the same. I get her to only eat a little human food I make for her; steamed carrots, baby bok choy, snap peas. And steamed chicken. Next day, won't eat the same meal. Will not eat her kibble or wet canned food either. But the worst is 5 days ago, seizures started. Very new to me and it shocked me. The cry was horrific. Lasts 30-45 secs, and urinates from loss of control. Approx 2-3 per day. What alternative treatments besides the pheno barb. Etc? I tried soothing music. Not sure she is going to get better and show improve ments. We are both suffering!
