Keen to hear suggestions, two points I’ve pondered:
Cost of fruit, I went into Sainsbury’s the other day. A pack of biscuits were 15p, a small box of strawberries were £2. Should the government start subsidising fruit to make it more accessible and a real affordable alternative?
With a rising percentage of clinically obese individuals, would it be advantageous to develop a scheme of free personal trainers/gym memberships for those that really need it. Thinking logically, it would create more jobs in the fitness industry and would save money longer term in potentially saved NHS costs.
