Why are we continuing to push more and more kids down the university route when they don’t know what they want to do?

Post Body

Honestly.. it baffles me as a non uni goer. There’s so many fantastic apprenticeships out there which could provide earnings and experience for a relatively decent wage in a lot of places.

I’ve done two apprenticeships now around business and finance, started on £14k when I entered the world of work exactly 5 years ago and slowly now climbed the ladder to £36k living in the north. I’ve got so many friends that have been fresh out of uni In the last couple of years that just don’t use their degrees for anything and are literally YEARS behind in the experience table to people that just started at 18/19 in businesses.
