A bit of a peculiar medical condition (re: sun exposure) which seems to only apply in the UK
Post Body

I'm not asking for medical advice because, well, Reddit, but I'm curious to know if anyone else has experienced this at all.

I'm quite pale, bluey-white really, but ever since I were a nipper I've been highly allergic to the sun - but only in the UK. I can wear factor 50 suncream whilst sunbathing for a few hours in our climate, and I'll itch and scratch day and night for days afterwards (it wakes me up in the night to scratch). My sun cream is always within expiry dates btw. And the last time this happened I scratched for four days :(

And here's the peculiar part; it happens nowhere else. Not in anywhere exotic I've visited, or even when I hop across the channel to France, and certainly never anywhere else I've spent time in within Europe.

Thanks in advance for any advice. I really don't think the doctor will 'get' this.
