Has anyone found one of the new light bulbs which gives instant light equivalent to the old 100W?

We've tried many different light bulbs, and they are either slow to brighten up and/or don't give enough light or give an unpleasant colour of light.
We need them to be bayonet fitting, and would appreciate any recommendations, thank you.
