If you extend a work trip by a couple of days using annual leave, would you still expect your employer to pay for the return flight?

Post Body

I've been fortunate at work to be asked to attend an overseas conference for a couple of days. It's my first trip abroad with work and to somewhere I've always wanted to visit outside work.

If I use some annual leave at the end of the conference and explore the city, should I expect my work to still pay for my return flight home?
