I’m a yank in London seeking a bit of friendly, casual human interaction. I’ve been warned, and it’s been my experience that British people are alarmed when strangers speak to them. But I know some of y’all must talk to each other in occasion. How do you do it? Is there a special signal? In the US we do this all the time, and if you’re not interested you just brush them off; but it can create a bit of nice human interaction that breaks up the monotony of a solo day. Especially helpful would be tips relevant for a tall middle aged dude who somehow seems to look less friendly than average. Thank you in advance lovely people.
