She originally came from Vietnam with her British husband, and have since had a child who is now 3 years old. Unfortunately the guy had some issues and the marriage broke down and a divorce is now underway. He also doesn't want anything to do with the child, or her (so has given permission for her to take the child to her home country).

She doesn't have any family in the UK at all, and isn't really qualified to do any skilled jobs here in the UK, so minimum wage is basically the only option. She wants to return to Vietnam, as she has 7 siblings and a big family to help raise the child.

There are downsides of course as education is supposedly better in the UK, as well as health services etc. She's also had other advice where people have said she shouldn't return to a 3rd world country. I was just wondering what you guys make of the situation?
