Can’t believe I’m asking this, but my female friend seemed shocked that I don’t shave my under arm hair and claimed that she has never seen a man with hair under their arms. In my experience, as a man who occupies male spaces, my experience that men generally don’t remove their underarm hair (maybe a trim and tidy up, but I’ve not checked in detail, lol). I think she is trying to make some clumsy point about standards between men and women and the expectation to remove body hair, but I wanted to ask.. Do men remove their underarm hair?

For clarity I’m referring to ordinary men, not male models or men who show off their body in public and might want a hairless image.
