Is it common for shops to move from high streets to out of town retail parks?
Post Body

A subject which comes up on UK reddits is the state of our high streets where many have been hit by shop closures. In my town Aldi and Iceland have moved from the high street to an out of town retail site. An M&S in another town near me have done the same and I have seen a few comments saying M&S have moved from town centres to retail parks. Are there many stores in your local high streets which have moved to out of town retail sites. Can this be a big factor causing a high street to decline. I assume that a store like M&S can act as an anchor store where people visit M&S and then visit other stores. An anchor store moving out can result in lost footfall affecting remaining shops.
