My parents almost never showed affection to each other growing up.

I don't think I ever hear my father tell my mother that he loved her growing up.

I've only heard it once which was in 2022 at their 40th anniversary.

I've only heard my mother say that she loved my father once.

My father has a pet name for my mother.

My father has sometimes given my mother flowers.

My mother doesn't, I've never heard her call him a pet name.

I've never seen them hold hands, hug or kiss.

When I was younger I thought that theyweren't in love with each other.

I asked my father why he and my mother weren't being romantic towards each other and he said that they did all of that stuff when they were younger, I don't understand why they'd stop.

Is this normal?
