A subject which often comes up on UK reddits is which towns are nice and which ones are horrible dumps. In view of this I am curious on what basis are towns classed in either category. Do the following or other factors affect your views
I started a thread on why some high streets thrive and others die. Does a town with lot of closed shops and a dead high street and other closed businesses feel a dump whilst a town with a thriving high street and open business feel nice.
Do affluent towns where the population have money to spend feel nicer than towns where people are on low incomes.
The architecture eg does a town have nice historical buildings versus badly designed eyesores.
Can towns feel nice or dumps but people can't put their finger on why they feel this way. Are there towns which fall into this category?
