I’m currently working based in London, and I hate commuting in as it takes almost 2 hours each way. My company also has an office in Birmingham, and I’ve got an opportunity to move to that office. It would involve a £4k salary decrease, but I’m tempted by the change in scenery.
I’ve done a bit of research, and it seems if I didn’t want to live in Birmingham itself due to the prices in the nice areas, it’s relatively affordable (compared to the southeast) to be based in Warwick, Leamington spa, or Coventry even, and commute into Birmingham for work.
Has anyone else made a similar move or know the area?
