To the Americans and Canadians that live here, what are the major differences between you that I could pick up on to differentiate aside from the usual clichés?
Post Body
By clichés, I mean that Canadians are extremely polite and saying sorry all the time whilst Americans are loud and brash. I've met plenty of both who do display some of these stereotypes, but equally I've met plenty who are totally normal and are very polite, get our sense of humour etc.
My brother went to the The Calgary Stampede a few years ago, and apparently the only thing he noticed was when asked by the PA guy where everyone was from, the Americans said "Yee-haa!" whereas the Canadians said "Yahoo!". As that is very unlikely to ever happen here, are there any more subtle things we can pick up on?
Thanks in advance :-)
