I went to the supermarket this morning and as it was first thing on a Monday, the massive car park was virtually empty. I'm not exaggerating - 95% of the spaces were vacant. Still, l like my space so parked that little bit further away, surrounded by the bliss of countless empty bays. Went and did my shopping, came out in to the still empty car park, and couldn't really believe it when I saw that someone had parked right next to my driver's side. What's more they had reversed in so both our driver doors were next to each other. I had to squeeze in, as they must have done to get out.
I know this is grumpy but I wonder what would possess someone to park there, given that most car parks barely even allow room for us to open doors? Wouldn't you leave even leave one bay between us, given that a division of tanks could have parked up and still had space left over? Or park on the passenger side? Why make both of our lives that little bit more difficult? I totally get it if the car park was full but it wasn't. Am I being irrational and grumpy or would anyone else find that annoying?
