What are your views on stealing beer glasses from pubs?

I saw a really nice pint glass this evening, but my conscience did not allow me to nick it. I assume, as they are branded, they are given to pubs for free, but I don’t know what the consequences are. I think a lot of people nick them so they must already been considered when planning.
What are your views on nicking pint glasses? Especially if you run a pub.
