Dismantling NAFTA: What will it mean for Canada?

Post Body

Many of my fellow Canadians are somewhat concerned that repealing NAFTA would do irreparable damage here. Afterall, the United States is by far our largest trading partner.

Trump has made it pretty clear that his biggest concern is Mexican labour being cheap enough as to remove any level of competitiveness from American labour, thereby incentivising companies to move south of the border. I have not, however, heard more than 3 words out of his mouth regarding Canada.

Our standards are living are very similar so the issue of noncompetitive labour wouldn't really exist. Would Trump be supportive of going back to the Canada-USA Free Trade Agreement that came before NAFTA, or is he against free trade on the continent altogether?
