How to identify/differentiate bot answers from real survey respondents
Post Body

Hello.

I have put online a Google form for others to fill in for my university project. However, I am unsure how to identify which of these answers so far are actually bots. I didn't set the Google form setting of "collect email adress of respondent" since although they would only allow for proper email addresses to be used, it might have disqualified people from my survey as my target demographic is older adults.

1) Am I right in thinking that email addresses that are gibberish, eg: [email protected], [email protected], [email protected], are bots? 2) I see that some responses (despite having proper-sounding email addresses) all belong to one timestamp. There are three instances of this in the responses. Are all these bots as well? 3) How can I differentiate bots from real people answering my survey?

Thank you.

Sorry if this isn't the right subreddit for this - any redirection would be greatly appreciated.
