My husband, me and our eldest all have iPhones under the same provider (in the UK if it matters). We all use the same Apple ID (my husband’s) which I assume is where the issue comes from but our phones are connected in weird ways. I don’t remember why we set it up that way, I’ve just always used his but this issue has only been present for the last year or so (possibly when eldest got his iPhone) but prior to this I know we had to look up how to disable a setting where I was getting notifications about my husband’s Google searches and he mine.
Any photos or sticky notes husband and I make seem to be synched so if I were to open my photos I’d see photos he’s taken and vice versa. Same with sticky notes.
It’s not the same for eldest and my phones, however, we do receive each others text messages and my contacts list is merged with his but not with husband’s. My husband’s phone isn’t synched to my eldests.
Can anyone advise how to go about fixing this? Do we need to all get seperate Apple IDs and if so, does that mean I’ll lose any progress I have on all my apps or will it just be a matter of logging into everything again?
