Is it okay if I major in Economics (BS) Instead of Mathematics if I want to pursue a masters in Statistics?

So, my college doesn’t offer statistics or even anything data-related as a major despite being a great state university, I am very good at statistics and I really love economics, does it look bad if I major in that instead of mathematics? Thank you and please ask questions if you have any.
