I'm looking into buying a house, and have a one year old daughter.
In this search, one of the factors I am looking at is school quality. I'm curious as to how much current school quality metrics predicts future school quality metrics. That is, if I look at the assessments of a High School in 2016, how much predictive value does that have for 2030?
ie, if I buy in a location currently undergoing substantial gentrification, is it reasonable to assume that the tax base will increase, such that school quality will rise in the next decade or so?
