So we know Paladins have that portal-opening teleportation-following technology.

But like, to escape them could the jumper port high in the air, fall for a bit then teleport away? So when the Paladins follow them they fall to their death.

Or if that's too dangerous due to velocity or whatever, they could teleport somewhere in water making it almost impossible to find the rift or even straight up breaking their equipment. Say, the middle of the ocean or even under some ice?
