[Crime shows] On average, how many unsolved cases do super detectives have?

Post Body

"Super detectives" being people like Miss Marple, Sherlock Holmes, Shin’ichi Kudō, Jessica Fletcher, Hercule Poirot, Columbo, etc. - the crime solving prodigies that always happen to be near a murder case, or are always called upon when a difficult case comes up that the normal police can't handle.

Do they even have unsolved cases? Or are they genuinely so good that no murder goes unsolved, ever, at all?
