Germans have a history of immigrating to parts of Eastern Europe and Central Europe. In Russia, they settled along the Volga River where they became known as Volga Germans. In the Baltic, they became the majority of the nobility.
In Latveria, did German settlers constitute a plurality or majority of the elite?
Personal take? Volga German on his dad's side. Russia imported thousands of the guys to farm incredibly hostile Land then got tired of them. There were small waves that went other places as the going got rougher. Could easily see the Doom ancestor moving to more friendly places.
