The family financial advisor said they were “asset rich, but cash poor”
Edward is a literal duke sitting on a massive estate. Why not just put some of the assets up as collateral and get a loan from a bank?
He can then pay off his brother’s debt in the short term, and could sell some assets to eventually pay back the loan from the bank.
Is that not what rich people do all the time when they need some liquid cash?
