[Spider-Man: No Way Home] Why didn't Peters 2 and 3 start glitching out?

So we know from the animated Spider-Verse films that Spider individuals (and any other individual, presumably) who visit other universes aside from their own start to painfully and sporadically glitch out. Why wasn't this the case for Tobey Maguire and Andrew Garfield's Peters? The only explanation I could think of is Strange's spell protected them but seems to me like a stretch, honestly; especially because it was a botched spell.
