Could a star "re-fuel" itself if it were to cannibalize 1(or more) hot jupiters in it's solar system.
Post Body
Hypothetically star 1A has a hot Jupiter 1B and something happened to alter the orbit, making collision with 1A inevitable. Would the gasses from 1B be added to the fuel tank, so to speak, of 1A and extend the natural life of 1A? Even by a small amount (1/10/100 earth years)
