Best place to buy a suit in SF?

Multiple of my friends are getting married in the next few months and I figure it's time to buy a nice suit for these weddings. Price is not not an object but I figure I can afford to spend a bit of cheddar on this thing, maybe upwards of $1400. In theory, I'd want to have a suit ready by early October.

I was curious if anyone had a good place in SF that they like? Everywhere I look either seems to be a Men's Warehouse-style discount house or a super high-end place. I'm maybe looking for something between those.
