I left my suit jacket at a tailor and I can't remember which tailor it was. It was when I was brand new to the city and completely overwhelmed.
It was in a shitty part of town and the shopfront was very hard to see from the street, kind of tucked away. A middle aged Asian man ran it, and a Latino dude was helping him out. The actual shop was very small inside, like a closet. The storeowner was blunt but funny and very kind. Cash only. It would have been on the eastern half of SF, no farther north than Embarcadero. Farther north than Mission Bay. Not Wah's or Young's. I remember the name was English/American sounding, not like Wah's.
EDIT: Solved. Jacob Tailoring on Geary. Story: when I went back, there were a few other white kids there. He was roasting us all to his wife in Cantonese. Hid my smile the whole time. Just as funny as the first time I met him.
