Couples - do you plan when you are having sex or is it still spontaneous?

I only ask as I read a comment earlier on a post where someone asked if they had sex this weekend and one response was "yes and I'm having some more this evening"
All I know is every time it's 'planned' (and by planned I mean the good old 'not now, later' it never happens.
