I see these comments from women on posts asking about orgasms in which they sometimes mention having very long orgasms, but it’s hard to find any descriptions of what this actually means. Is it just a very long classical orgasm, the same as the type everyone else is familiar with that lasts 10-20 seconds, but just much longer? Or is it something else, some alternative heightened state of pleasure?

Are you contracting the whole time? That would be like hundreds of contractions if it lasts minutes. Or is it just a steady tingling feeling? What is actually meant when a woman writes “I had an orgasm that lasted 3 minutes” or “it lasts as long as I’m stimulated” for example?
