I'm 30M and I got married fairly young to my first and only girlfriend. She's the only woman to this day that I've ever slept with. Being as that's the case, I've never had sex with a woman I wasn't in an a relationship with. As a married man, the concept of hooking up seems like a fantasy lifestyle of sexual freedom on the surface, but realistically, it makes me wonder how different the experience is when it's with someone who's essentially a total stranger.
How do you even initiate sex when the time comes? How much getting to know each other do you actually do beforehand? Isn't there huge potential for it to become awkward? What happens when you're done? Do you just say, "alright see ya"?
Also what's the sex itself like? Satisfying? Or is it bland because there's no emotional attachment? I'd imagine it's a case by case basis.
Those of you who have hooked up and can offer some perspective, what has been your honest experience with hookup culture?
