I will preface this with "I do know why people hate bad situationships." The same reason people hate bad relationships, the sexual experience is bad, the emotional intimacy is bad, the other person is an inconsiderate chode, etc. To that I say if they were a bad lover in a situationship then being committed wouldn't have made it any better.
But I have observed people, especially women, where the sex is good, they say "the emotional intimacy is amazing," and talk about how the other person is so perfect and amazing and whatever but they hate being in a situationship. Even if they don't want kids.
It seems to me that having consistent sex, a good friend, and the freedom to go do whatever you want is the best of all worlds. Get 3 or 4 of those going and you're set unless you want kids. So why do people seem to hate situationships so much?
