Ok so yesterday (like 9 hours ago) I asked a question on how to get over social anxiety. But the more answers that came in, the more i thought āwell actually I donāt struggle with xxxā or āwait this isnāt my problem at allā
When I had asked the question, I had noted how I struggle with approaching new people, particularly when out in public spaces regardless if itās a good or not so good social setting (gyms, bars, stores, etc). Especially women. But that seems to be the most of my problems. The only other real issue I have is I hate going to places like restaurants & bars alone. While I can talk to the employees decently I struggle to connect with the other bar goers and feel as if people are watching me even if they arenāt.
If Iām approached by someone first, I have absolutely no issues talking to them. If I see someone I know, Iāll talk to them for quite a bit. I have zero issues talking to the employees, cashiers, etc whatever they might be doing but the regular people around me I donāt. Heck Iāve worked as a cashier before! I had zero issues talking to people with that! I love being outside and being around peopleā¦ just people I already know, or those who approach me first. Once someone makes āthe first moveā i have no issue and having a conversation with them.
What exactly does this classify as?
