Did I fuck up?
Post Body

As simple as the title gets. For a better understanding, please read my last 2 ARAD posts

I had asked if approaching someone at the gym was fine. Very mixed bag of responses (Reddit wasnā€™t the only place I asked) but ultimately I said fuck it and did it. I TRIED talking to this girl I had seen at the gym before. I had said the words ā€œgood eveningā€. Yes i understand, terrible thing to open up with but as someone who has a fear of talking to new people irl it was worth a shot. The response was as follows:

She looked at me, proceeded to not say anything and then looked away and went back to the workout on the machine she was at. I will add I was already at my machine, she came over to use the one next to me. I did not approach her by any means. Anyways from that point I just got up and left. I didnā€™t want to make anything to creepy.

Now at the end we both uncoincidently finished and left at the same time. As I was leaving it looked like she had picked up the pace upon walking away. I never attempted to follow her, speak to her, etc. I just turned and went to my vehicle. Iā€™m really hoping it was by sheer coincidence and not by me making it awkward.

So with that - did I fuck things up? Iā€™m at a loss for its as bad if it seems, and if Iā€™m just overthinking it. Or if everything will be alright or not. This was around 9-9:30 pm (so 3 hours ago)
