Why do so many people have a profile that's years old but still has no karma?

I get that people use alt accounts for nsfw stuff, but if you don't do anything with it at all, how do you expect someone to respond to you with nothing to go on?

They are lurkers. They probably have a regular Reddit they use and then have an extra one to look at nsfw or message people.
