Genuinely, has hooking up with someone you knew ruined your relationship with them?

If you’re part of a friend group and you decide to hook up with one of the members but with not romantic feelings involved, is there a chance it could ruin the group?
I know one of my guy friends gets 0 action and I just want to have fun with no strings attached but I’ve never done that before and I’d rather not ruin anything
