I love giving oral regardless of gender and I’ve received mostly poor oral myself, so I’m curious what people think are the glaring mistakes people make

In my personal experience with guys it is a lack of stimulation to the head and completely ignoring the balls.

With women I’ve been told their biggest peeve with receiving oral is when someone ignores the pussy as a whole and just focuses on belting around their clit (if they can find it which is another issue) like it’s made of wood and their tongue is a woodpecker
