I’ve been asked this question and I’ve also been a part of another conversation where a woman that gets cold sores every winter was looked at as “unclean” to the same level of a serious STI. I looked more into it and 50-80% of the population suffers from this and it’s very easily transmitted and just as easily transmitted non sexually. If treated properly and isn’t present it’s very hard to give to someone else. Why is it so stigmatized? Watching the guys talk about it as if it’s a life or death STD was absolutely mind numbing to me.
My take - calling someone “unclean” for something like this that was most likely not transmitted to them non-sexually by accident is ridiculous. That’s my opinion. Came to say it here because they obviously disagreed with me.
What’s your take?
