Why do so many people have kinks that are borderline illegal or require someone to be harmed mentally or physically?

I’ve been around these parts for a while and I’ve yet to find anyone who doesn’t have a kink revolving around innocent fun that isn’t taken too seriously. Naw, apparently most of want to either be stepped on or be the ones doing the stepping. People seem to just want to be abused or at the mercy of abusers, the more realistic and brutal the better.
Good luck finding people who have kinks that embrace having a mutual chuckle and just having fun. Someone needs to be harmed for it to be “fun”
