What do you think about monogamy?
Comments

u/RevDrSquash nailed it, despite the downvotes. More than satisfied with my husband of 15 yrs. I love him, he’s my best friend, and he fulfills me. We have been monogamous for the entirety of our relationship. We decided to open up because it allows us to share experiences TOGETHER with additional partners that simply aren’t possible with 2 people. He has done a ton of reading on it since we started discussing it, and recommends reading “Opening Up.” We’ve only had an experience with one FWB so far, and it was really fun for all of us. We are monogamish because we are just in the one romantic relationship, but open to FWBs.

I think monogamy has its place and works for some. I don’t think we need to judge people who want to be monogamish or open or poly. My Husband and I are monogamish, meaning we are romantically monogamous but also have friends with benefits.

“And it harm none, do what thou wilt.”
